Chronoimmunology

Higher ranking biological life is structured in time and space. Resulting from this we have different dynamics. R. Kluge exploited these facts in his habilitation work in the urology of the M.L.V by determining the different activity cycles of cancer cells and healthy cells so that cytostatika could not damage any healthy cells. For his studies he introduced the word chronooncology, which is a special case of chronobiology [1,2,3,4]. R. Kluge, who became ill with MS in 1985, transported these aspects successfully from his chronooncology first of all on himself and to the diagnostic and therapy of his own MS disease.

Through the time dependent regulations of parameters (endogenous cortisol levels and the immunocytos) there is a direct relationship to the process kinetics and the moment of emission into the immunological reaction which is determinable and can be alleviated (kupiert ???) through anti inflammatory medicine.

But for this we need a mathematical method (time sequences, analysis, empirical regression) and the exact knowledge of the pharma homo kinetic of the medicine.

MS can’t, for energetic reasons, keep its aggressiveness over a period of a 24 hour day continually. The energetic balance of the disease is covered by the metabolism of the patient. This has very individual and specific activity as well as quiet phases (anabolic datable metabolic levels). Between the disease carrier and his/her own disease process there are time and space discrepancies. The more these processes stand in their vibrations suspended to each other or even when their trends run in opposite directions, the more evident it will be that one is ill. Following this, the big rhythmic therapy must always be carried out very individually.

The taking of samples followed at fixed intervals:
03.00 – 06.00 – 09.00 – 12.00 – 15.00 – 18.00 – 21.00 – 24.00 o’clock.

Checks and examinations of the adaption of the changing kinetic process are to be held within roughly 3 months. Parallel examinations of temporary changes in the number of lymphocytes and core temperature showed a correspondingly correlation in the turning points of the mathematical evaluation. Through these results was a reduction in diagnosis and care time. The phase justified braking of the initial bland infection was followed through with Indometacin capsules (25mg or 50 mg).
For the diagnosis of chronoimmunology it is necessary to have an absence of any disturbing secondary diagnosis.

Acute phases of MS should be treated according to the guidelines of the DMSG (German MS Society).

Number of tests and therapeutic applications from 1996 to 2008.

Endogenous cortisol rhythm of 16 patients
   From those, 3 patients with a primary progressive course
   From those, 2 patients with a secondary progressive course
   From those, 11 patients with a relapsing-remitting course.

Lymphocyte rhythm of 32 patients
   From those, 7 patients with a primary progressive course
   From those, 6 patients with a secondary progressive course
   From those, 19 patients with a relapsing-remitting course.

- Rhythm of the core temperature of 36 patients as well as 14 people in similar social    environments.

With all 3 of the progressive forms a reduction of the MS orientated losses were observed.

The chrono immunological consideration in the diagnosis and therapy of MS, according to R. Kluge, portrays an optimisation through the Kluge therapy.
