    Here are numerical values from an out-patient and medically controlled field study.

    Period of time – August 1998 to December 2003

    Evaluation criteria according to the performance scale of Kutzke J.F.: Rating neurological impairment in MS: an expanded disability status scale (EDSS)
    Neurology (1983), 33, 1444-1452

    EDSS = 0 means healthy, 10 means dead

    Picture 1: 5-year-analysis of the Kurtzke score with the Kluge therapy.

    After a neurologically provided diagnosis – subtypes:

    Primary progressive subtype:

    n=17, average age 41,3 years (18 to 63 years)

    Relapsing-remitting subtype:

    n= 18, average age 37,8 years (23 to 56 years)

    Secondary progressive subtype:

    – n= 17, average 47,1 years (26 to 65 years)

    From the protocol of hindrance:

    Criteria of performance capabilities – Walking

    Begin of therapy:

    Wheelchair = WC

    crutches = C

    Walking = WK

    In a space of 5 years, 3 neurological verified relapses were reported, which in accordance to the corresponding recommendations of the DMSG were treated in the patients home towns. 14 patients had an EDSS = 0. 12 patients broke off the therapy in this space of time.
